I realize this is 'Gaming' and that nobody on this site seems to think there's anything except electronic gaming, but come on. Why can't we at least have a pity 'Board Game' subcategory here? The following is a session report I wrote for Board Game Geek, but since this is where I actually blog I want it posted here too. I will continue to write these as more missions are run. And now, the story: I was on the ground when we got word - the English were coming, a couple patrollers it ...

“I said to him, ‘This is a very weird question, but bear with me. But are you around a lot of popcorn?’ ” Dr. Rose asked. “His jaw dropped and he said, ‘How could you possibly know that about me? I am Mr. Popcorn. I love popcorn.’ ” The man told Dr. Rose that he had eaten microwave popcorn at least twice a day for more than 10 years. “When he broke open the bags, after the steam came out, he would often inhale the fragrance because he liked it so much,” Dr. Rose said. “That’s heated di...

Don't judge people. You're judging me. Stop judging. Don't be so judgemental. If you judge others, you youself will be judged, you know. Judging isn't a very christian thing to do, after all. Sure, I agree, judging IS bad. But I'm getting tired of people referring to correction as judging. Granted, lately around here there has been some judging going on. But even Christians, when corrected, will jump to the "don't judge me" wagon instead of actually trying to grow. What make...

Hey, it's my birthday today, so I thought I'd start a thread for people to say "Happy Birthday" to me on, so I don't hijack TW's thread. Feel free to not say so either, because this is a lot more boring than the normal Happy Birthday threads, and it was started by the birthdayee. Well, thanks for stopping by!

I can't believe I'm writing my 100th article. Think of all the time I wasted, trying to think of something to type in... wondering what the reaction would be... responding to comments, building relationships, having a good time... I guess it really isn't wasted time, after all. I would miss you guys if I ever decide to get help from my JoeUser addiction. Until then, let's chat. Let's have great discussions about stuff, and misunderstand each other on purpose, and argue back and for...

Throughout my life, everything has come pretty easy to me. I could play sports as a kid, pretty decently in fact. School was a cinch, and nobody really tried to get me to apply myself. So I have never truly learned to put effort into anything. Now I am faced with a career. I have a career ahead of me, but I will have to put effort into it in order to sustain it. I also have children at home, and I have to put the effort there, too, to father them properly and spend time with them. An...

I know you know that you can't park there. If you could park there, you would have just turned off the car and went inside. But no. You left your car in an illegal parking spot, with extra blinking lights just in case a policeman wants to ticket you. Hey, if you have those blinky lights on, how can he bother you? This haircut is an emergency! I am really tired of people thinking that turning their hazard lights on gives them the right to BE a hazard. News flash - you still can't park...

Liberals suck. It's their fault. Conservatives suck. It's their fault. Democrats suck. It's their fault. Republicans suck. It's their fault. Basically, we've taken a whole bunch of beliefs and shoved them into two parties. I'm guessing no liberal actually believes in the entire liberal platform, even the most kooky ones. Conservatives, same thing. Yet what do we do? We divide it up. We say, I won't vote for a Democrat because ___. I won't vote for a Republican because ___. ...

I can see it now. Movements saying apes are sentient, and therefore should live in our society with us. Leading to apes should have equal rights. "I can't help it - I was born an ape." Leading to Ape Suffrage. Leading to, what? "You can't marry him, he's an Ape!" "We're running away together!" As Apes continue to learn to communicate with Humans, and interesting question comes to mind. Did Jesus die for Ape's sins, too? Have all Apes sinned? I doubt it, but I'm sure people will...

I've now been in my job for a full year, as of Tuesday. That's a year of experience I can claim on my resume. That's a year towards gaining seniority, a year closer to the experience requirements for accounting certifications, and a year closer to becoming a partner. I got out of college about a year and a half ago, and I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't know how to get a job. So I signed up with a temp agency, and went from there. I got an assignment working in Excel, basically...

There really is no doubt that the media is slanted. But the coverage of the War in Iraq, with the very small amount of good news being reported, and the large amount of news focusing around people dying and carnage being everywhere, one would think the media is just out to bash President Bush. Well, yeah, but that's just in the spin. See, the media rarely reports any good news even on the home front. No, it's only news if people are getting killed or maimed or people are being robbed,...

I was convicted today, not on felony charges or anything like that - worse. A man I respect today made a brilliant point, one that I tried to address earlier with my "I Want To Join a Cult" article but I seemed to have missed it. If you, as a Christian, are not seeing major life change from before you were a Christian, if you are maintaining a pattern of sin in your life, you don't believe in God. That REALLY hit home. I mean, I have maintained a pattern of sin in my life that I kno...

Today I went to church in a t-shirt and shorts. Ooo. Some people think going to church is a formal occasion, and at some churches it probably is. Some say you need to dress up to show God the respect He deserves. You know, those are great reasons to dress up. But I managed to show proper respect to my earthly father wearing t-shirts and shorts. I think I can show respect to God with them, too. It doesn't really matter what you're wearing. Honestly, I just want to be comfortable wh...
