So I started my debt reduction program. Since it's tax refund time, that went immediately to paying off the midwife for my new baby's birth, and an older debt, a matress I had bought on credit that was supposed to have been paid off with last year's tax refund.

I haven't actually paid the midwife, though. The other debt was an under $20 medical bill that we just never got around to paying off. But now it is! 2 down, many more to go.

I also got my first ever bonus check from work. I'm happy with it, and it can go to building up savings, because I kinda forgot that step before I paid off the matress (hey, 0 interest for a year with the year about to come up comes first). So, we have the midwife, which is more of a current bill, and then savings. Also going to give some of it away, because it's good to give.

So there's the first step, and the rest will come soon. I can't wait to be debt free!

Love those 0 interest plans!  Even if I have the money, I use them.  I love paying it off on time, and (make believe) hearing the cries of anguish from the credit companies.

Credit companies don't even notice you, they're too busy dancing over the many that didn't pay.
