WOOHOO!

I got a job finally! I haven't been telling all the details of my search lately because, well, it wasn't going very well. But now it's done! I got a job with a forensic accounting firm. Basically I will be doing grunt work for them, as a Staff Accountant. Well, it's a temporary position to start, but they said that there was room for a hire if I prove to be worth it. So, for the next however long, I will be working my butt off. But it is worth it, because my hope and dream is to be a fraud examiner someday, and the only way to get there is to make a name for myself and get experience. I can't wait to start! I'm so excited! I found a JOB! A real accounting job! Everyone I know hasn't been able to find anything accounting with their degree, and I have! Fraud related, to boot! So I am on track to get my CPA in 3 years, and my CFE in 2. All I need to do is pass the tests... but that's a blog for another day!

Congratulations!  WHile I find accounting to be somewhat boring, I find Forensic accounting to be intriguing.  At least you wont be staring at the same T charts day in and day out!

Oh yes, thank goodness! I mean, I'll mostly be coding invoices to start and doing horrible type things, to eventually, I will be looking at invoices that OTHERS have coded! Muah ha ha!

Man... being at home and doing nothing was killing me. Especially since my wife wanted me to be cleaning the house! No way, I'm no good at that at all!

When I was laid off from my last job, that was the greatest incentive to find a new one!

Absolutely! She actually got a job, and that just did NOT go well. Every night she felt incredibly guilty for not being with the baby... so she quit, and I got a job tutoring again, and now I have to quit with no notice. But, it's an amazing opportunity, and I didn't have too many appointments past today so it should all work out!
